How it all began

Consult Plus was founded in 1996 in Plovdiv—a period of dramatic economic transformation in Bulgaria. While most businesses were struggling to understand the new tax laws and accounting standards, we were there for them with expertise, patience, and dedication.

From a small accounting office in Plovdiv to a leading consulting firm with offices in Plovdiv and Sofia, ConsultPlus has weathered every transformation of the Bulgarian economy alongside its clients. We have weathered privatization, EU accession, the digital revolution in accounting, and the global pandemic—and we have emerged stronger from every challenge.

Our History by Year

1996 — ConsultPlus was founded in Plovdiv. Its first clients were small and medium-sized businesses in the Plovdiv region
The 2000s — Expansion of services beyond accounting: tax planning, legal services, customs representation. The team grows, and the client base exceeds 100 companies
2007 — Bulgaria’s accession to the EU brought new requirements — widespread VAT registration, Intrastat reporting, and European financial reporting standards. ConsultPlus helped hundreds of companies adapt
The 2010s — The National Revenue Agency (NRA) introduces electronic tax filing. ConsultPlus is among the first accounting firms to transition entirely to digital processing. Clients receive online access to financial reports
2020–2021 — COVID-19 accelerates digitalization. ConsultPlus demonstrates that fully remote service is not only possible but also more effective
2022 — Opening of an office in Sofia: OFFICEX Building 4, 51 Cherni Vrah Blvd. We now serve clients in Bulgaria’s two largest business centers
2026 — 30 years later, we serve customers throughout Bulgaria with a full range of services
